SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Cascade Kitchens is teaming up with the Lake Tahoe Documentary Film Festival for an all-day fundraiser on Friday, March 6, with special event hours from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., inviting the community to enjoy a night out while supporting local storytelling.
As part of the event, Cascade Kitchens will donate a portion of all food and beverage sales from the entire day to the Lake Tahoe Documentary Film Festival (LTDFF). Proceeds will help support the festival’s ability to offer free community screenings, including its “Local Spotlight” film block, which highlights regional filmmakers and keeps meaningful stories accessible to the public.
Throughout the evening, trailers from this year’s films will be screened across Cascade Kitchens, giving guests a preview of the powerful stories coming to the big screen. The night will celebrate and spotlight the 70+ films set to screen during the festival from April 17-19, 2026, offering a glimpse into the depth, diversity, and creativity of this year’s lineup. Meet LTDFF founder Michelle Ficara as she shares more about the festival.
Guests will also have the exclusive opportunity to purchase discounted LTDFF passes, available that day only at Cascade Kitchens.
Michelle Ficara, the Lake Tahoe Documentary Film Festival Director, will be on-site from 5:00-8:00 PM to meet guests, share more about the festival’s impact, and answer questions about this year’s programming.
Community members can support the festival simply by dining, ordering takeout, or gathering for drinks at Cascade Kitchens anytime on March 6. Every meal, snack, and toast that day helps LTDFF continue offering accessible, community-centered film experiences.
Cascade Kitchens is located at 1030 Tata Lane, South Lake Tahoe.
