SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – There is still some snow on the ground and temperatures below freezing, but it is not too early to start planning your Lake Tahoe garden! The UC Master Gardeners of Lake Tahoe are offering a free high-elevation edible gardening class on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The class will be held at the Keep Tahoe Blue Spurlock/Evers Environment and Education Center, 2877 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe.

Edible Gardening 101 is a 90-minute workshop designed to give you the blueprint for a successful high-elevation harvest. Whether you are a first-time gardener or looking to refine your mountain green thumb, this class covers the essential “Tahoe-specific” skills you need to thrive.

Bring seeds to share for a seed swap!

This class is free, but RSVP here since seats are limited:  https://surveys.ucanr.edu/survey.cfm?surveynumber=48778
