SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – US 50 in Meyers has been closed near the Upper Truckee River since 6:55 a.m. due to law enforcement activity.
Multiple agencies are involved and as of 8:53 a.m., one person has been arrested and the road should be opening soon.
There was a vehicle pursuit from Sacramento to Lake Tahoe, and spike strips near Gunmount on Echo Summit popped one tire and the driver stopped by the river.
Negotiators worked to get the driver out of the car.
