SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – GigaBite Robotics won the 1st Place Inspire Award at the Nevada State Championships in February. It’s the highest honor in FIRST Tech Challenge! After five years of perseverance, problem-solving, outreach, and growth, the team was thrilled to earn this recognition.

This award recognizes a team that is the complete package: engineering excellence, innovation, leadership, and inspiring others across FIRST. The team also placed in the Top 3 and is advancing to the Premier Event in Canada this July. Your donation will directly support registration, continued robot development, and travel for the team as they represent South Lake Tahoe on an international stage.

They are a community-based team founded in 2021 in South Lake Tahoe, with 10 middle and high school members.
