SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Students in the Lake Tahoe Unified School District (LTUSD) will be getting a bonus day off on Monday, March 23. In the past, LTUSD school calendars always included three snow days, so if they weren’t used, graduation day and the last day of school were never set in stone.
The District started a new policy two years ago, which gives students extra days off in January, March, and May if the three snow days were not used. So far in the 2025-26 school year, there have been no snow days. Students had January 16 off, and will have March 23 off. If there are no snow days in what remains of winter, the final of the three days off will be on May 1.
