Meet the 2026 Speakers
James Shepherd — Eugene, Oregon
James Shepherd has devoted his life to helping others experience the healing power of God’s love. From a young age, he witnessed the transformative effects of prayer, relying on Christian Science for healing throughout his childhood. After earning a degree in agriculture, James chose to pursue a life of service as a full-time Christian Science practitioner, a role he has embraced for over 30 years. His work has
taken him into churches, summer camps, prisons, and youth centers, where he shares a message of hope, healing, and universal love. James is passionate about community service and family life, and his greatest joy comes from helping others discover a deeper, more tangible sense of God’s love and its impact on everyday life.
Caryl Emra Farkas — Santa Fe, New Mexico
Caryl Emra Farkas (CSB) brings a rich and deeply personal journey of spiritual discovery and healing. Introduced to prayer and Christian Science at a young age, she experienced firsthand the power of spiritual healing — a passion she would later share widely. After pursuing studies in fine arts and working in New York City, Emra explored various spiritual paths before returning to Christian Science following a profound healing experience. This transformation led her to become a full-time practitioner and teacher, dedicated to helping others find healing and spiritual clarity. Today, she contributes to Christian Science publications, serves her church, and continues to share the universal message of divine Truth and Love.
Featuring Music By
Andrew Brewis — London, England
Returning for the 2026 summit, Andrew Brewis brings a powerful musical dimension to the event. A composer and performer of inspirational Christian music, Andrew describes his work as something that “found him” — becoming a meaningful expression of his spiritual journey. His music is known to uplift, awaken, and inspire healing, resonating deeply with audiences. Eight of his compositions have been published in the Christian Science Hymnal, used in churches around the world — an achievement he describes as both humbling and exciting.
