SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The California Tahoe Emergency Services Operations Authority (CTESOA) will be holding an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new home on May 20, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The public is invited and there will be tours and refreshments.
The CTESOA building is located at 3066 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe. Parking is available at the old recreation center and other nearby locations.
At the core of the new building was the original El Dorado County Jail, built in the 1940s, 25 years before South Lake Tahoe became a city. The original cells remained when the Chamber of Commerce and Visit Lake Tahoe used the building for offices before it became home to the Cal Tahoe JPA ambulance service. The cells are gone, and a new building with modern amenities will be unveiled at the ceremony.
