SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The El Dorado County Board of Supervisors is coming to Lake Tahoe. Twice a year, the supervisors hold their meeting in District V in the South Lake Tahoe City Council chambers.

They will be in South Lake Tahoe on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 9 a.m.

The chambers are located in the Lake Tahoe Airport, 1901 Lisa Maloff Way, South Lake Tahoe. For those unable to attend, live stream participation is available.

Several agenda items affect the local community.

• Emerald Bay Transit Pilot Project presentation. Time certain for 9:30 a.m., so will not be heard before then.

• Snow Plow Report presentation with possible direction. Time certain for 10 a.m., so will not be heard before that time.

• Mandatory Garbage Collection for Tahoma & Meeks Bay. First reading of a new ordinance. Time certain for 11 a.m., so will not start before that time.

Also of local interest is the discussion of establishing a Tahoe Basin Pioneer Community Choice Aggregate Ad Hoc Committee. The committee will be District V Supervisor and the Supervisor representative appointed to the Pioneer Energy Community Choice Aggregate (CCA) Board to work with staff and the Pioneer Community Energy CCA Joint Powers Authority, in collaboration with the City of South Lake Tahoe, to pursue implementation of a CCA program for the Tahoe Basin area. Pioneer has been in El Dorado County on the West Slope since 2020, and now has customers in Placer County, Roseville, Auburn, Placerville, El Dorado County, Lincoln, Colfax, and Loomis.

1 p.m.: Open Forum is an opportunity for members of the public to address the Board of Supervisors on subject matter not on the meeting agenda and within the Board’s jurisdiction. Public comments during Open Forum are limited to three minutes per person. The Board Chair may limit public comment during Open Forum.

For those unfamiliar with the county process, public comment on all agenda items, excluding Public Hearings, is taken at the beginning of the meeting.
