SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Summer is coming, promise, but the roller coaster spring weather will take the Lake Tahoe area for a ride again this week.
To start the coming week, there is a Lake Wind Advisory in effect from 5 p.m. Monday to 2 p.m. Tuesday. Expect winds from the southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph and waves 1 to 4 feet for Lake Tahoe, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.
Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions improve.
After the wind comes the fun stuff – rain, thunderstorms, and snow (yes, that word).
