SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The El Dorado County Elections Department is reporting an estimated 1,293 ballots still need to be counted from last Tuesday’s Primary Election. On Thursday, that number was 20,088.
Of the 137,636 registered voters in the county, 74,851 have had their ballots tabulated.
Measure B and Measure G have passed. Both needed 2/3 “yes” votes to pass.
Measure B – 7,899 ballots of a possible 18,483 voters have been counted, or 42.74% of the voters participating. Yes votes are 5,788, or 75.39%; No votes are 1,889, or 24.61%.
Measure G – 7,899 ballots of a possible 18,483 voters have been counted, or 42.74%. Yes votes are 5,524, or 72.28%; No votes are 2,118, or 27.72%.
County Supervisor 5th District Brooke Laine retains seat with 97.21% of the vote.
Treasurer-Tax Collector – Sean Coppola retains seat with 66.13% of the vote.
Surveyor Brian Frazier retains seat with 98.91%.
Recorder-Clerk Janelle Horne retains seat with 98.96%.
Auditor-Controller Jor Harn retains seat with 97.89%.
County Supervisor 4th District will have a runoff in November between Ted Gaines (47.18%) and Gina Posey (24.65%).
County Superintendent Ed Manansala wins his election with 98.34%.
Measure E in Fallen Leaf Lake passes with 29 votes, or 87.88%,
Measure C for on the West Slope passes with 2,284 votes, or 71.35%.
