SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – More than 100 enthusiastic pickleball players took to the courts at Tahoe Paradise Park on June 14 to participate in the 4th annual Pinkleball in Paradise tournament. It was a beautiful day in South Lake Tahoe and thanks to a dedicated team of volunteers, the tournament ran smoothly from start to finish. In addition to playing in or just watching the pickleball matches, attendees enjoyed live music and local food truck fare, and had the opportunity to bid on special items and experiences donated by local and non-local businesses. And thanks to the generosity of all attendees, players, sponsors, and donors, this year’s event raised about $18,000 in support of METAvivor, a nonprofit focused on improving the lives of people living with metastatic breast cancer.
Under the guidance of Pinkleball in Paradise president Adrienne Shepard, the annual tournament has become a must-attend community event for many in South Lake Tahoe and nearby locales. Next year’s event will be held on June 26, 2027, so plan to come out for a day of great fun in support of a great cause.
