SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Celebrate a historic milestone at the 4th of July Parade in South Lake Tahoe as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States. This year’s parade honors the nation’s path from its founding to today, highlighting the people, moments, and values that continue to shape our country.
Join the City of South Lake Tahoe and all participants as they parade down US 50/Lake Tahoe Blvd., westbound from Ski Run Blvd, featuring floats, music, and creative displays that reflect America’s story and the pride of our community. Let’s come together for this once-in-a-generation Independence Day celebration in true Tahoe style.
The parade starts at 9 a.m.
The judge’s viewing box and public grandstand are on the highway at Champion’s Plaza on Lakeview Avenue.
New Route for 2026
Highway 50 will be fully closed along the parade route during the event to help keep everyone safe, so be sure to plan and allow extra travel time. To accommodate the closure, the parade will now end on Lyons Avenue and not on Al Tahoe Boulevard as in years past. With both sides of the highway closed there will be plenty of great viewing spots.
Please see the Parade Route and Road Closure details below to plan accordingly.

Can’t make the parade? It can be viewed on the City’s YouTube channel.
