Dental practices strive to put beautiful smiles on their patients’ faces. For Genasci & Stigers Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, their commitment extended beyond the dental office to dinner guests who attended the Bread & Broth Monday Meal on September 14. As the Adopt A Day of Nourishment (AAD) sponsor that evening, Genasci & Stigers collaborated with the Bread & Broth (B&B) volunteers to serve a very tasty and filling lasagna meal that made everyone happy.
Jeanne Prestella, B&B’s team lead cook and a ‘Lasagna Love’ volunteer, oversaw the preparation of lasagna for more than 160 people. The evening welcomed 133 dinner guests, served 10 second helpings, and provided additional take-home meals.
To help finance the meal, Genasci & Stigers Family and Cosmetic Dentistry contributed the $350 sponsorship fee and worked alongside the B&B volunteers throughout the early evening meal. Representing Genasci & Stigers were Debbie Condosta, Myriam Hernandez, Claribel Lopez, Arless Lopez-Taylor (Claribel’s son), Audrey Reagan, Lee Anne Stigers Genasci, and Katie Varela.
“Bread & Broth is an amazing contribution to our community,” said Lee Anne Stigers Genasci. “What a great opportunity to serve our neighbors. Thank you to all of the Bread & Broth volunteers. It truly warmed my heart.”
The impact of being provided a hot meal and bags filled with dairy products, meat, fresh fruit and vegetables and various staple items puts a smile on everyone’s face. In addition, being greeted with kindness and respect, especially by the Genasci & Stigers AAD team members as they served the meal and handed out the giveaway food items, makes the smiles even brighter.
