SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Tahoe Coalition for the Homeless (TCH) has announced they received a Community Action Grant from the Tahoe Community Foundation as well as a donor matching grant from Jamie and Margie Gray to assist with its project to install security cameras on their properties.
A bit more is still needed to facilitate this project. The mission of TCH is to partner with the community to house, shelter, and support our neighbors experiencing or at risk of homelessness to foster independence.
They are fundraising to provide greater security and safety for clients, staff, and guests.
Running a network of facilities as diverse as TCH’s – spanning long-term supportive housing, a medical respite program, street outreach, and a drop-in center – requires a layered and thoughtful approach to safety. The goal is to build a culture of safety that is both proactive and welcoming, balancing the need for security with the dignity of the people served.
TCH is revamping its security and safety plan to enhance the experience of clients,
tenants, and staff. The initial phase is installing security cameras where they operate housing and services. Security cameras will help manage operations, improve safety for tenants, protect property, and facilitate cooperation with local law enforcement in case of an emergency or criminal activity.
Please consider contributing to this special fundraiser to help them better serve clients and the community. Donations can be made here: https://www.mightycause.com/story/SecurityCameras
