Autumn in Tahoe Intro to Modern Western Square Dance Party

Carson Valley Squares is having another Intro to Modern Western Square Dancing at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd, South Lake Tahoe on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Scott Olson from Carson Valley Squares is the caller.

They are looking to build interest in weekly square dance lessons and the intro night will show you how much fun square dancing is. It’s a great family activity! Kids as young as 12 are invited. (We do allow younger kids based on parents’ insight.) It’s also a great activity for homeschoolers who can get PE credit for taking a square dance class.

Signups for the class(es) will be available for both the Tahoe and Minden classes at the dance.

Join in the fun as they dance to all genres of music from artists like Thomas Rhett, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, as well as other popular music from the 60’s to today.

Come join us for a fun evening of the American Folk Dance and Square Dancing!

They will be doing these events on the last Friday of the month until enough participants are signed up for weekly classes.
