Halloween Movie Night Double Feature at Valhalla

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – — Valhalla Tahoe is adding a frightfully fun twist to its fall lineup with a Halloween Movie Night Double Feature on Thursday, October 30, at the historic Boathouse Theatre. The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with Hotel Transylvania (PG), the animated family favorite that invites audiences into Dracula’s lively hotel for monsters. Then, as darkness falls, the mood turns suspenseful with Alfred Hitchcock’s legendary thriller Psycho (R) at 8:00 p.m. “Come for one… or stay for both — if you dare!” says Valhalla Tahoe Executive Director Meg Peart. “This event captures the spirit of Valhalla — family-friendly fun early in the evening, followed by a classic film experience in our historic boathouse theatre.” Tickets are just $5 per movie per person, and doors open 30 minutes before showtime. Costumes are encouraged, with prizes for the best looks. Popcorn, snacks, and both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. The event adds to Valhalla’s exciting fall season, which also includes the final weekend of the Pulitzer Prize-winning stage production Proof, and a newly added concert by Kimmi Bitter & The Westside Twang on November 9 at 7:00 p.m. Valhalla Tahoe will wrap up its 2025 season with the Valhalla Holiday Faire, a beloved South Lake Tahoe tradition running November 21–23 in the Grand Hall and Boathouse Theatre.
