AGENDA
1. LTVA Memorandum of Understanding — Termination Notice and Interim Month-to-Month Agreement.
Discussion and possible action to authorize legal counsel to draft and provide the required 30-day notice of termination prior to Oct 1st 2026 of the existing Memorandum of Understanding between the South Lake Tahoe Tourism Improvement District (SLTTID), Tahoe Douglas Visitors Authority (TDVA), and the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority (LTVA), and to draft a new interim month-to-month agreement between the SLTTID, TDVA and LTVA while the parties negotiate and consider new long-term contractual terms.
2. Discuss the issuance of formal RFP for marketing services for SLTTID.
Discussion and possible action to authorize the South Lake Tahoe Tourism Improvement District (SLTTID) to create/issue a formal Request for Proposals (RFP) to qualified marketing firms for the development and implementation of marketing services to promote South Lake Tahoe and generate measurable tourism and lodging demand.
3. Selection and Authorization of Third-Party Election Ballot Counting Contractor.
Discussion and possible action to select and authorize a qualified third-party contractor to independently receive, count, and tabulate ballots and votes for the upcoming South Lake Tahoe Tourism Improvement District election, and to authorize execution of any necessary agreement or related documents.
4. Discussion and possible action regarding current TID fee structure. Specifically, how we currently take a fixed amount per room night; we want to discuss/consider an appropriate % of fee collection instead so it is more fair. Also, to determine if possible to change/how to do so if we wanted to before renewal period 2029.
5. SLTTID meeting schedule discussion.
Discussion and possible action of changing our SLTTID board meetings to the Tuesday before LTVA board meetings, monthly.
6. Review and discuss matters presented/discussed at the most recent Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority (LTVA) Board meeting.

Discussion including LTVA’s current and proposed budgeting, allocation of marketing and operational expenditures, current marketing strategies and performance, emerging tourism and destination-marketing trends, and potential areas of concern or opportunity for South Lake Tahoe in comparison to other markets.

Signing, registering or completing any RSVP is voluntary and is not a requirement for attendance at any South Lake Tahoe Tourism Improvement District meeting.
