“The use of all fireworks is prohibited on all national forests and national grasslands. Regulations are enforced, and violation is punishable as a misdemeanor by a fine of not more than $5,000, or imprisonment of not more than six months, or both,” said Forest Supervisor Nancy Gibson.

Local 3726, right, presented their donations to Kathy Thompson, the managing director of the Carson Valley Community Food Closet in Gardnerville, Nev., on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011. The Tahoe Douglas Firefighter's Association donated $1500 worth of gifts to three local families, a $500 check and 200 pounds of food to the food closet and the East Fork Professional Firefighters donated 14 complete holiday family dinners and 600 pounds of food to the food closet.
