The event will feature a live broadcast by KTHO radio, appetizers, tastings of desserts and treats, and wine from Apres Wine Co. Holiday items will be on display, including edible centerpieces, cakes, fudge and chocolate. UPDATE 3:52PM: Searchers have found skeletal remains and jewelry in an area of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest where a South Lake Tahoe woman, Marie Hanson, was last seen during the Rainbow Family gathering. The Skamania County Sheriff's Office said in a statement Monday that searchers would continue to look for other evidence to link the remains and jewelry to Hanson, 54, reported missing by family since July 9. Pedestrian to be airlifted after being hit by vehicle on Lake Tahoe Boulevard

South Lake Tahoe police and rescue have the westbound lane blocked at the scene of the accident, which involved a vehicle and a 49-year-old man. The accident happened across the street from Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church.
The condition of the victim is unknown. CalStar was to land near the snow dump area.
