SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Lake Tahoe from 2 p.m. Wednesday to 11 a.m. Thursday for areas above 7,000 feet.
Lake level is not included in this advisory.
Snow is forecast for the Tahoe Basin above 7000 feet with accumulations of 6 to 10 inches, locally up to 16 inches along the Sierra crest. Winds gusting as high as 90 mph along ridgelines.

Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe invites the public to their meeting on Wednesday, March 27 when they host a program about Women's Rights. In honor of International Women's Day, Club President Laurie Ault will be the speaker.

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - The family of the two young men involved in Saturday's mountain lion attack near Georgetown have released updated information. Taylen Robert Claude Brooks, 21, was killed, and his brother Wyatt Jay Charles Brooks, 18, was severely injured.

10PM Update: Over 500 customers of Liberty were without power for several hours Monday, with a handful still out at this hour. Liberty estimates all will be restored by 1:30 a.m.
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - A power outage was reported for a section of the South Shore Monday morning, just before 10 a.m. At this time, Liberty is reporting 3814 customers without electricity. It is affecting people from Elks Club to the Y in Meyers/South Lake Tahoe.
The cause of the unplanned outage is unknown at this time.

Carol was born in Eugene (Lane County), Oregon, to Wayne Mac Adam and Mary (Sissler) Mac Adam on March 5, 1937. Carol’s identical twin sister, Eleanor Proctor, predeceased Carol in July, 2007, as did Jeanette Mac Adam, an older sister, who passed in 2019. Carol has one cousin, Phillip Sissler of Fossil, Oregon, with whom she remained close over the years.
