Those That Survived, story of the Donner Party, at next Wylder Hope Valley history program

The Wylder Resort Hope Valley continues its Eastern Sierra speaker series with a living history presentation of "Those That Survived" on Sunday, January 8 at 1 p.m.

David & Gayle Woodruff assume the characters of Donner Party organizer and survivors, James and Margret Reed as they recount the gripping tale, of the courageous and heroic efforts of themselves and others, who saved the lives of 45 of the 81 destitute soles, who were trapped by severe, early season snowstorms in the Sierra Nevada during the winter of 1846-47.

The 50-minute program is free and open to the public and will be at the Wylder General Store, located 1/10th of a mile east of Wylder Resort on California Hwy 88 in Hope Valley.
