UPDATE: Enfield Overland has increased its match to $25,000. This match donation is set to end on April 1, 2024.
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Enfields Overland has graciously decided to match up to $15k in donations to Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe’s Community Playground Campaign - Let the Kids Play!
Enfields Overland is an epic team of two, Jorik Blom and Mark Kirby, who are originally from South Africa. Blom currently resides in South Lake Tahoe and Kirby in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey. They will be setting off from South Lake Tahoe in April 2024 and riding their way through the Baja Peninsula, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica, ending up at their final destination of Panama City in Panama. They will be taking this 5,000-mile route on Royal Enfield Motorcycles, calling it the Central America by Royal Enfield (CARE) challenge.
Blom and Kirby chose the Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe (BGCLT) to be one of their nonprofits to donate to for this adventure. They are very dedicated to raising funds as well as awareness for the organizations they support.
“We are super excited to be able to support the Boys and Girls Club. Being part of this community and seeing the good BGCLT does has inspired us to bring more awareness to the lives they touch and the work they do,” said Blom. “Our goal is to raise $15,000 which will be matched by a gracious donor in our community. Living in such an adventure-rich environment, we hope our motorcycle adventure inspires others to use their passions in supporting our community.”
