Auction starts for all Lakeside Inn memorabilia and contents

STATELINE, Nev. - Every item from the Lakeside Inn is up for auction from the largest craps table in the state of Nevada to antique slot machines, decks of cards, chairs, desks, table, televisions, tools and maintenance equipment, paneling, and yes, the kitchen sink!

All assets are being auctioned starting March 4, 2021 but bids are now being accepted. All bids and sales will be conducted online at https://www.stremmelauctions.com/.

The popular South Shore casino closed due to COVID in March, 2020 and never reopened. In April, the owners decided to sell the property after being denied the first round of Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) since they were a gaming property.

Stremmel Auctions is coordinating the selling of all assets on the property. The contents of the 115-room hotel have already been purchased by lodging companies, but everything else is still available.

"There are no reserves and no minimums for this auction, meaning items will sell to the highest bid, regardless of price,” said Hudson Stremmel of Stremmel Auctions. "Bids will start low."

Some items already have big bids, like the John Deere Loader and Back Hoe at $12,000, but there are plenty of $5 items and things without bids. Take a stroll down memory lane as you look at the catalogs of slot machines, mugs, clothing, and pictures. The cage bars, coin and cash counters, dice, plates, utensils, kitchen equipment...and the list goes on. The metal bicycle and snowflake along US50 are also on the list.

It is a tough situation seeing the memories being sold but everyone gets one last shot at winning at Lakeside Inn.

Stremmel said people can expect a very fast-paced and exciting auction next week.

The auction for kitchen and bar equipment ends on March 5, and the casino memorabilia and equipment auction ends on March 6.

The property is still for sale, but not being offered in the auction.

"There has been a ton of interest," said Lakeside Inn President Stacey Noyes of the property. She said being in the new Town Center zoned area of Stateline lends to unique ways for future use of the property.
