LTUSD kindergarten registration dates announced

The Lake Tahoe Unified School District (LTUSD) will hold kindergarten registration from April 26 to May 14 for the school year starting in the fall.
Parents need to call the school at this time and set up a registration time.

A lottery has already been held for kindergarten students wishing to get into the Two-Way Immersion program at Bijou Elementary and at the Lake Tahoe Environmental Science Magnet School.
To be eligible for Kindergarten enrollment a child must be five years of age on or before September 1, 2021. If the child turns five years of age between September 1, 2021 and December 2, 2021, they qualify for Transitional Kindergarten (TK); a two-year Kindergarten program located at Tahoe Valley Elementary School.
LTUSD is also offering an Early Entry TK program for students born between December 3, 2021 and March 31, 2022. This optional program is only available as space is available in the TK program. Parents can petition for entry into this program by contacting Tahoe Valley directly.
