Free kid's soccer tournament at LTCC

Lake Tahoe Community College is hosting a free children’s soccer tournament on Sunday, May 1 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Community Playfield next to the college's Physical Education building. Children from kindergarten through 5th grade, of all playing abilities are welcome to participate.

The tournament will be run by LTCC head men’s soccer coach Nick Arbelaez. Several athletes from his 2015 conference championship soccer team will be there to assist and provide guidance, along with a few athletes from LTCC’s women’s soccer team. Water and snacks will be provided free of charge to all participants, along with some fun giveaways. Participants should bring their cleats, shin guards, and any other gear they have with them, but no special equipment is required to play. Just be sure to wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes.

Kids who want to play in the tournament should sign up by Monday, April 25, although latecomers can also register the day of the event.
