9:30 p.m. UPDATE: Power has been restored to some of the customers, but 1,024 still remain without power in the Y area of South Lake Tahoe.
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Over 4,500 customers of LIberty Utilities are without power at this time. At 4:25 p.m., customers at the Y, Tahoe Keys, and at the southern end of Pioneer Trail lost power.
As of 5 p.m., Liberty Utilities has not given an estimation of power restoration or the cause.
The area is under a wind advisory until 8 p.m. with gusts of 45 mph possible at lake level.
