90 celebrities headed to Lake Tahoe for 30th annual American Century Championship

LAKE TAHOE, Nev. - For 30 years celebrities from the world of music, sports, the big screen, television, and policitics have headed to Lake Tahoe in the month of July for the annual celebrity golf tournament, American Century Championship at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course.

This year, 90 celebrities return July 9-14 for golf and superstar hijinks.

Returning champ Tony Romo, Charles Barkley, Aaron Rodgers, Kyle Lowry, Jerry Rice, Roger Clemens, Joe Pavelski and Tyler Seguin will play alongside Hollywood elites like Miles Teller, Ray Romano, Larry the Cable Guy, Alphonso Ribeiro and Bobby Flay (see list here).

Some new golfers who just committed to coming to Lake Tahoe in July will be announced on Wednesday, you won't want to miss the additions!

The annual tournament has raised more than $5 million for multiple national and area charities and offers free admission to military personnel and their guests. With major television exposure (NBC Sports, NBCSN, Golf Channel) and a purse of $600,000, the American Century Championship is the most prestigious celebrity tournament in golf. The celebrities put this event on their calendars the minute the dates are announced and they look forward to the event every year.

Discounted daily tickets are now available at Raley's, Bel Air or Nob Hill Foods locations throughout Northern California and Nevada. Tickets are $17 daily (regularly $20) for access Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; and $27 (regularly $30) for Friday, Saturday and Sunday tournament action. And with a grocery purchase of $50 or more, the savings are even greater for Friday, Saturday and Sunday with individual tickets for only $23 each, a 23% discount, up to four tickets. These ticket vouchers must be redeemed at the gate during the tournament

Advanced tickets are also available online. Tickets are $20 each day for the Lake Tahoe Celebrity-Amateur on Tuesday, July 9; practice round on Wednesday, July 10; and the American Century Celebrity-Am on Thursday, July 11; and $30 for each tournament round, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Kids 10 and under receive free admission – limit two, when accompanied by a paying adult.

Active Duty, Reservists, National Guard, Military Retirees, and Veterans receive one complimentary ticket and one complimentary guest ticket for each day of the American Century Championship, Tuesday, July 9 – Sunday, July 14, 2019.
