Greg Hughes appointed as new pastor at Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church has announced the appointment of Greg Hughes as the new Lead Pastor, effective July 1st. With an impressive track record and extensive experience in pastoral leadership, Hughes is poised to bring a renewed sense of faith, community, and spiritual growth to the congregation.

Prior to joining Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church, Hughes served as the lead pastor of Malibu Pacific Church for nearly two decades. During his tenure, he guided the congregation through various seasons of growth and challenges (a major wildfire burned his church building down in 2007 as seen on TV). Despite the hardships, he continued to foster a vibrant and inclusive spiritual community that nurtured individuals of all ages.

Throughout his ministry, Hughes has exhibited a deep commitment to fostering meaningful relationships, nurturing spiritual growth, and addressing the unique needs of diverse congregants. His exceptional leadership qualities, coupled with a genuine passion for ministry, have garnered him immense respect within the religious community.

Pastor Hughes has a bachelor’s degree from Westmont College, a master’s degree from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a doctorate from Samford University.
