COVID-19 cases in South Lake Tahoe and El Dorado County

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - There were 78 new cases of COVID-19 in El Dorado County over the weekend. The county doesn't have data on how many of the new cases are breakthrough cases or the Delta variant, but they have been been alerted to 11 Delta variant cases, all with lab collection dates between May and early July.

The new cases:

Pollock Pines, Camino, Kyburz - 573 cases - +14 - The 14-day new case rate is 22 with 162 per 100,000 residents.

El Dorado Hills - 2426 cases - +31 - The 14-day new case rate is 87 with 205 per 100,000 residents.
Diamond Springs, El Dorado - 504 cases - +6 - The 14-day new case rate is 16 with 170 per 100,000 residents.
North County - 523 cases - +2 - The 14-day new case rate is 6 with 41 per 100,000 residents.
Greater Placerville - 1988 cases - +15 - The 14-day new case rate is 73 with 199 per 100,000 residents.
Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue - 1913 cases - +22 - The 14-day new case rate is 61 with 173 per 100,000 residents.
South County - 136 cases - +0 - The 14-day new case rate is 2 with 19 per 100,000 residents.
Lake Tahoe region - 2805 cases - +14 - The 14-day new case rate is 63 with 208 per 100,000 residents.

To date, 120 El Dorado County residents have died from COVID-19. There were no new deaths this weekend.

There are 10 <4> hospitalized with 3 <1> in the ICU. Of these patients, 8 are hospitalized at Marshall, 2 at Barton. Of the ICU patients, 1 are in Barton, 1 at Marshall in Placerville. There are currently two available ICU beds in the county, 0 at Barton Health in South Lake Tahoe, two at Marshall.
