Shari Chase and Jennie Fairchild of Chase International were recently ranked among The Thousand – a comprehensive list of the nation’s top agents and sales teams. The Thousand is compiled and released by REAL Trends and The Wall Street Journal. With more than one million real estate professionals considered, Chase and Fairchild were the only two agents from the Lake Tahoe area to make the list.
These annual, production-based rankings assess the top brokerages, agents and teams by their transaction sides and dollar sales volume. The Thousand is divided into six categories, each listing the top 250 designees. Chase and Fairchild were listed among the top 250 individual agents in the Average Sales Price category, ranking an impressive 18 and 33 respectively out of one million agents.
“When it comes to luxury, nobody does it better than Chase International,” said Shari Chase, president and CEO of Chase International. Over the years, Chase has sold more properties in the high end market than any other brokerage firm in the Tahoe region.
Fairchild, who has been with Chase International for ten years, attributes her success to the growing number of clients (both buyers and sellers) from the Bay Area.
“We’ve definitely seen a significant increase in interest in properties on the East Shore of Lake Tahoe,” said Fairchild. “There’s been a “discovery” of the East Shore which, along with Incline Village, is becoming one of the most desirable areas for home purchases around the Lake.”
The upscale and exclusive East Shore runs from just south of Incline Village to Zephyr Cove, situated entirely in the state of Nevada. The many tax advantages bring homebuyers to the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe, but the last several years has seen a boost in clients searching for sanctuary and respite.
“Bay Area buyers are expanding their search parameters,” Fairchild said. “This stretch of the lake is unassuming and peaceful. It has a natural rugged beauty that Mark Twain wrote about in his stories of Lake Tahoe. Tahoe’s East Shore neighborhoods allow people to escape to a place that still feels like the true ‘Old Tahoe’ experience. It is a place you can come year after year and see little changed, which is a nice thing to experience in today’s ever-changing world.”
