STATELINE, Nev. - A familiar face on the South Shore is returning to be the senior vice president and general manager for Harrah’s and Harveys Lake Tahoe properties.
Caesars Entertainment made the announcement today that John Koster will return to the Lake Tahoe gambling scene after the merger of Eldorado Resorts and Caesars Entertainment.
Koster has more than 21 years with Caesars Entertainment and El Dorado Resorts. He was most recently at Eldorado’s Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin, Illinois as their vice president and general manager, and prior to that he was based in Lake Tahoe as regional president for Caesars Entertainment in Northern Nevada and Laughlin.
“I am ecstatic to be leading these two wonderful properties once again, and the warm reception I have received from our team has been humbling,” said Koster. “Since founding Eldorado Resorts, the Carano family and their patriarch Don Carano were all about a culture of family style service. They always emphasize the importance of a fun, happy work environment and empower team members to take care of our valued guests. I will incorporate these principles into our Lake Tahoe properties as well.”
Always an active member of the community, Koster said he plans to get involved with regional organizations again, including the Tahoe Douglas Visitors Authority and the creation of the new Tahoe South Events Center at Stateline. He will also be rejoining the South Tahoe Alliance of Resorts (STAR). Koster is an avid golfer, runner and a general outdoor enthusiast. He and his family reside in the Carson Valley area of Douglas County.
