Taylor Creek Stream Profile Chamber set to reopen this fall

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - For over two years the glass-enclosed stream profile chamber at the Taylor Creek Visitor Center has been closed down due to acts of vandalism. Unknown person(s) had broken the glass, allowing water from Taylor Creek to get inside and rendering the popular exhibit useless.

The Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit (LTBMU) has announced repairs are underway at the chamber and, if all goes as planned, they anticipate it reopening by the end of September or beginning of October 2023.

The trails and visitor center have remained open as the stream profile chamber was closed.
