It was a crash scene that parents never want to see their children involved in. On Sunday, August 27 a recreation vehicle (RV) was making its way down Kingsbury Grade towards Lake Tahoe when it experienced brake failure, crashed and caught fire.
Both occupants were transported to Barton Hospital in South Lake Tahoe with non-life threatening injuries.
Today the mother of the female occupant, Nancy from Simi Valley, Calif., wrote to South Tahoe Now:
My son-in-law and daughter were involved in a horrific RV accident on Kingsbury Grade. Just before becoming engulfed in flames, a strong young man picked my daughter out of the wreckage and carried her to safety. A passing nurse stopped and offered aid and comfort.
We are so thankful to these good Samaritans and the emergency responders, the staff of Barton Hospital and everyone who helped. They are recovering.
Thank you, Mom.
