SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - As a part of the 2020 Road Rehabilitation Program, the City of South Lake Tahoe will working on two projects over the next two weeks. They will be reconstructing 3rd & 4th Streets from Lake Tahoe Boulevard to South Avenue and working on the Bellamy Court parking project.
The City will begin construction on 9/29 and will complete work by 10/9 on the project near Barton Hospital. During this time, traffic will be constricted to one way travel going southbound toward the hospital. Northbound traffic will be detoured down South Avenue to Emerald Bay Road. Access to the hospital will be maintained at all times throughout this project. Motorists are advised to avoid this area if possible.
Also, construction for the Bellamy Court Parking Expansion Project has begun. Traffic will be constrained to one way travel along Bellamy Court heading southbound. The parking garage on Bellamy Court and Heavenly Village can be accessed via the detour route located on Transit Way. Construction is also expected to be completed by October 9.
