Mono County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) has suspended the search for three men who have been missing in June Lake since their boat capsized on Saturday.
At about 10:00 a.m., a boat carrying five male passengers overtuned. Two of the men were able to swim to shore but the other men have not been found.
The men were vacationing at June Lake, and went out to fish Saturday morning. It is reported that they are from the town of Tehachapi, Calif.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff Dive Team was on the water Sunday, along with MCSO boats and foot patrols on the shore, all searching for the men. They suspended the search due to heavy rain and gusty wind and will resume Monday morning, weather permitting.
"This is officially a recovery effort, as there is no possibility of survival," MCSO announced on their Facebook page Sunday evening. "This is an incredibly tragic and devastating time for the families, so please continue to keep them in your hearts and prayers."
No names or ages have been released.
