Return of more fall-like weather at Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - High-pressure weather pattern continues through the week with warm afternoons, cool nights, and generally light winds.
Increasing high clouds will move over the region Monday evening. Cooler, more fall-like weather is expected by next weekend with a return of westerly breezes and the potential for light precipitation, and even upper-elevation snow, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.

A day of stronger westerly winds is still expected on Saturday as a front moves through with the region with gusts 30+ mph. Temperatures will cool quickly next weekend with highs dropping back into the low 60s in western Nevada and 50s in the Sierra by Sunday.

Monday - Sunny, with a high near 71. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Monday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 35. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Tuesday - Partly sunny, with a high near 72. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 34. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 72. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon.
