South Tahoe High plans full day of Halloween activities for students

Event Date:
October 31, 2014 (All day)

South Tahoe High School has a full day of Halloween activities on Halloween, from costumers during the school day through the final home football game of the season to late night ice skating.

During the School Day
ASB Student Leadership is encouraging students to wear costumes to school on Friday. Leadership will be awarding spirit points for good costumes, and they are elaborating on what a good costume is during the morning video announcements on Thursday. It is important that costumes do not hide student identity with masks or excessive face paint, and that the subject matter of the costumes is appropriate for a school environment.

Trunk-or-Treat
After school from 4-6pm the Quarterback Club (Football Booster Parents) are hosting a Trunk-or-Treat event in the Stadium View parking lot above the football field. There will be small carnival games with candy given to any child in the district who is dressed in costume OR Viking Blue & Gold. This will be held rain or shine.

Football Game
The last home football game of the season will start at 7pm, rain/snow or shine! The team will be honoring the retirement of School Board President Wendy David after 17 years of service at the coin toss.

Safe place for our Teens after the game
And after the game from 9 p.m. to midnight, the Quarterback club and the Tahoe Ice Arena are inviting STHS staff and students to come and spend the rest of the evening at the ice rink. All STHS students and staff are being given free admission and skate rental by the ice rink and the Quarterback club will provide the supervision. There will be skating, music, games, and the concession stand will be selling food. A safe and fun opportunity for students this Halloween night.
