The newly elected South Lake Tahoe City Council members, City Clerk and City Treasurer were all sworn in during Tuesday's council meeting.
Susan Alessi was re-elected in November as clerk and David Olivo was retained his seat as treasurer. Both terms are for four years.
Newcomers Wendy David and Austin Sass both won seats on the council and they joined re-elected Tom Davis in the swearing in ceremony.
In first official action, the Council voted 3-2 to keep Hal Cole as Mayor for 2015 and he stated that “50 years is not insignificant as the City will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary next year. This is an exciting time for our community and I hope there is a young person out there who will be inspired to talk about how far we’ve come at our 100th Anniversary and the progress that was made during those 50 years.”
In a 3-1-1 vote, Wendy David was elected as Mayor Pro Tem for 2015 and said, “Thank you to the support of the community. I appreciate the hard work that this council has accomplished and look forward to moving forward even further.”
