A new, free website boasting an array of career-related services is now being offered by Lake Tahoe Community College. Current students and graduates of LTCC can use a number of online tools there to find and apply for jobs, while local employers can use it to post jobs and search for qualified applicants.
The website, the result of a partnership between LTCC and College Central Network Services, offers job-hunters handy tools to help them create and post a resume, search for available jobs both locally and nationally, find career-related articles, videos and podcasts, and create an online portfolio to supplement their resumes.
To access these services, job hunters must be current students of the college, or alumni. Local employers can use the website to connect with participating LTCC students. Jobs can be posted there for free that target students and alumni, and employers can also search job resumes and portfolios.
“This is a wonderful resource that allows local employers to directly recruit LTCC students and alumni for both jobs and internships. It takes only a minute to register, and the service is free,” said Esta Lewin, LTCC Career Services Coordinator. The website can be found at www.collegecentral.com/ltcc. For more information about this website and other career services offered by LTCC, contact Esta Lewin at (530) 541-4660 ext. 231, or send an email to Lewin@ltcc.edu.
