Many people make the one mile walk down the hill at Emerald Bay to visit Vikingsholm every year. Of course, a one mile walk down means that, in order to return home, a one mile walk uphill is necessary.
Many of the visitors to Lake Tahoe aren’t able to make the walk, perhaps due to injury, age or other conditions. This no longer is an issue to keep anyone from enjoying the beautiful Emerald Bay State Park.
