4:13 p.m. UPDATE: The driver of the truck involved in Thursday’s fatal crash is a 63-year-old male from South Lake Tahoe. As investigators worked at the scene, Lake Tahoe Boulevard was closed to all traffic for about 2.5 hours from Takela Drive to Fairway Avenue.
“South Lake Tahoe Police Department appreciates the public’s patience during the closure/detour,” said Lt. David Stevenson. “The Police Department would also like to thank CHP and Cal Trans for assisting with traffic control. We would also like to express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.”
