SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – In July 2018 there were record highs and now, seven months later, two days with record lows have been recorded in South Lake Tahoe.
The first record-breaker came on February 19 when the low of minus 13 broke the previous low of minus 8 which came 29 years ago in 1990.
The second record-break came Friday morning, February 22. The low of minus 8 was a surprise to many forecasters who had the low 18 degrees higher at 10. The previous recorded low was minus 5 in 2011.
The average for both Feb. 19 and 22 are a high of 39 and a low of 23.
