SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The United States Ski and Snowboard teams have been announced for this season and several local faces once again, including South Lake Tahoe Olympians Maddie Bowman and Jamie Anderson, are on that list.
Maddie Bowman, a South Tahoe High grad, has won an Olympic gold medal and seven X Games medals. She burst onto the ski halfpipe scene in 2012, and into the history books two years later by winning the first Olympic gold medal in women’s halfpipe skiing. She has now been on the Pro Halfpipe-Freeskiing team for seven years.
