A man was taken into custody late Sunday night after leading Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies on a high speed pursuit that began in the Dresslerville area.
The pursuit began around 10 p.m. when the driver attempted to run over a sheriff’s deputy, according to dispatch via scanner. The pursuit ended at 10:43 p.m. with the man in custody after he had ditched the vehicle he was driving and fled on foot. Speeds during the pursuit were up to 125 mph.
The pursuit shut down multiple roads as the Nevada Highway Patrol and other agencies also intervened.
