UPDATE 7:25PM: Voluntary evacuations have been lifted for residents around the fire. Mottsville remains closed, but should be cleared soon according to Douglas County officials.
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. – A new fire has started in Douglas County in the Foothill area at the base of Kingsbury Grade. Voluntary evacuations have been put in place for the Apple Creek, Foothill, Mottsville and surrounding areas, all who have been asked to remain alert and stay vigilant.
