SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – It has been a while since Lake Tahoe has experienced measurable snowfall. The promised winter weather arrived overnight, with 8″ of snow reported at the South Shore of Lake Tahoe by Sunday morning. Area ski resorts are reporting 4″-12″ and Reno and the Carson Valley, due to some lake-effect snow, had 5″-7″.
Even as the storm exits, expect wind as a new Lake Wind Advisory has been issued from noon on Sunday to 4:00 a.m. Monday.
