The Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club will host researcher and author James Ellman during their virtual meeting on Friday, November 6.
Ellman will discuss his book, Hitler's Great Gamble: A New Look at German Strategy, Operation Barbarossa, and the Axis Defeat in World War II, during the 12:00 p.m. meeting and the public is invited to attend.

May 12, 2019 - 7:00pm The well-known phrase “those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it” has a personal meaning to Sami Steigmann.
Steigmann, a Holocaust survivor and motivational speaker, is coming to the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel on Sunday, May 12 at 7:00 p.m. Steigmann will share his story about life in a Nazi labor camp, the medical experiments he was subjected to, how he survived and the many lessons he’s learned throughout his life.

February 21, 2018 - 6:00pm The story of Holocust survivor Leon Malmed will be told through the animated documentary "The Promise" at the South Lake Tahoe Library on Wednesday,February 21, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.
A group of advanced animation students from the College of the Canyons spent he entire Spring 2017 semester bringing to life the memories of Malmed, a South Lake Tahoe resident.
During Nazi occupation of Northern France, between the years of 1940 and 1945, Malmed and his sister lived in hiding, saved by a French family. The film documents Malmed’s experience as a child during those years of the Holocaust.

The smash-hit Broadway musical Cabaret hits the Duke Theatre stage at Lake Tahoe Community College with seven performances June 10-19, 2016.
The college's Theatre Arts Department presents the Tony Award-winning musical with with music and lyrics by the Broadway powerhouse team of John Kander and Fred Ebb.
