SnowGlobe and guests contribute 213 nights at Tahoe Warm Room; Make strides on waste reduction
Submitted by paula on Mon, 01/27/2020 - 11:15pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - MTV’s SnowGlobe Music Festival has a continued commitment to give back to the South Lake Tahoe community each year, both during and after the three-day outdoor festival.
SnowGlobe 2019 was able to successfully expand their sustainability program, non-profit, and charitable giving initiatives, they said in a report released Monday.
In 2017, SnowGlobe began its partnership with The Sugar Pine Foundation, planting 200 sugar pine seedlings to help restore Lake Tahoe’s sugar pine population, which now makes up less than 5 percent of the Tahoe Forest.
Sound mitigation expert hired to use "smart sound" at SnowGlobe
Submitted by paula on Sun, 09/16/2018 - 11:17pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Chad Donnelly, the CEO of the SnowGlobe Music Festival, was in South Lake Tahoe last week to show his new sound mitigation expert the venue at the Community Playfields on Al Tahoe Blvd. He also met with Mayor Pro Tem Tom Davis and three members of the No Globe Alliance, a citizen-formed group against the noise generated by the three-day outdoor festival, and Al Frangione of Lake Tahoe Community College.
SnowGlobe 2017 lineup released
Submitted by paula on Mon, 09/18/2017 - 4:03pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Producers of the annual SnowGlobe show have released the much anticipated lineup for their December 29-31, 2017 music festival in South Lake Tahoe.
Dillon Francis, Porter Robinson, Travis Scott, Zedd and Khalid are headlining the outdoor festival which also features almost 40 other acts.
Early bird tickets are already sold out, but many other packages are still available. Three-day tickets start at $199 with the three-day VIP package now at $449.
Permit for SnowGlobe late night party at Hard Rock denied
Submitted by paula on Mon, 11/07/2016 - 7:47pmCiting concerns for safety, under-age party goers and an already taxed law enforcement staff, the Douglas County Board of Commissioners denied an outdoor festival permit for SnowGlobe Late Night events December 29-31 at Stateline.
Chad Donnelly proposed the after-party each night of the annual concert to be held under a tent in the parking lot of Hard Rock Lake Tahoe from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. The proposal was just in writing as neither Donnelly or representatives from the Hard Rock attended the meeting.
