Dear Community, The sold-out 30th annual Elegant Evening 2019 at Harrah’s Tahoe was a huge success and that was due to the generosity of businesses and friends near and far. We are beyond thrilled that our special appeal for Challenge Day was met and exceeded!

He's been played in the movies by Ben Kingsley, Richard Dreyfuss, Patrick Dempsey, Dustin Hoffman, Anatol Yusef and Robert De Niro. In real life, he was the "Mob's Accountant" and a major organized crime figure who, along with his associate Charles "Lucky" Luciano, was instrumental in the development of the "National Crime Syndicate" in the United States. He developed a gambling empire that stretched across the world from Las Vegas to London and spent 50 years in the organized crime. Jay Z and Lil Kim have mentioned him in songs.

After a summer of softball games, the Stardust sponsored softball team became the 2015 Monday Night Co-Ed Softball Champions.

A home run by Leo Rodelo led Stardust to victory in the final game on Monday against Steamers, a game they won 16-15. Stardust ended the season with a 13-2 record.

A fundraiser has been scheduled for the three year old daughter of a South Lake Tahoe family who was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. Mackenzie Bogart needs the help of our community as she and her family prepare for the next step in her care.

The Bogarts have been long-time Tahoe skiers and snowboarders. Their four children all compete in the local USASA Snowboard Circuit and are dedicated to providing a recreational outlet for their children.

With winter right around the corner Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort is excited to generate early season stoke and support the local community with the second annual Sierra Snowball Fight: A Dodgeball Tournament at Steamers Bar and Grill on November 14, 2013. Sierra Resort™ fans and season passholders will be able dodge, dive, dip, duck and dodge while helping support the local community. Sierra Resort is happy to continue their longstanding commitment to the community and share their excitement for the upcoming 2013-14 season.

The South Lake Tahoe Softball League is sponsoring an Adult Coed and Men’s League. A team meeting will be held at Steamers Bar and Grill on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 6 p.m.

All returning teams can sign up on April 3. Any spots left will be open to new teams starting April 8th. You can pick up your registration packets at Steamers Bar and Grill, The Sportsman next to the Grocery Outlet or City of South Lake Tahoe Parks and Recreation Department on 1180 Rufus Allen Blvd. any time after April 3.

The Tahoe Area Coordinating Council for the Disabled is being recognized by area restaurants in celebration of the council's 31 years. Steamers Bar and Grill in South Lake Tahoe will host lunch, dinner and a City Council Candidate's Meet and Greet from 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 23. Steamers is located at 2236 Lake Tahoe Blvd. near Tahoe Keys Blvd.
