Is now the time to invest in Lake Tahoe?
Submitted by Editor on Mon, 04/22/2013 - 10:50amNow is a great time to invest in Lake Tahoe, whether it's a vacation rental, long term rental, multi-units/apartments or retail buildings. Event Date:
June 30, 2012 - 8:00am Although they are still an unfortunate rarity, more green gyms are popping up in the United States. They are considered green because their carbon footprint is much lower than the typical huge box gym packed with walls of televisions, rows of cardio equipment (which also have a whole additional slew of TVs), and thousands of tons of carbon-unfriendly stationary equipment. These green gyms tend to be smaller, with the primary carbon footprint generating from their electric usage. Just one treadmill can use anywhere from 500 watts to 1 kilowatt per hour while in use.

Plenty of snow at Lake Tahoe for spring skiing, snowboarding
Submitted by Sam Bauman on Fri, 03/09/2012 - 6:49amIt's been a weird ski and riding season, for sure. One indication is that Heavenly Mountain Resort is only operating the Boulder base lodge and the Boulder and North Bowl lifts on weekends. In all the years I taught at Boulder never has had a shutdown like this. Too bad because lots of locals liked Boulder as out-of-towners didn't go there very often. Thus, parking was close and runs not crowded.
